We are about to deploy important updates to our media library system in the CMS.
Why this is important:
When you move your website from another provider to us, sometimes you have long file paths to PDFs and other important documents that are long and specific to your old website. By adding the capability to create your own file paths to folders in our media, you can move your site to us and ALL of the hyperlinks in your PDFs will still work.
Why this is important:
This will create a public /media/ URL under your domain name, that makes it a snap to link to files in our media library intuitively. This will replace (and work alongside) the Amazon file structure URLs that our CMS was using when you link to a file. So if you make a folder called "images" and you add a file to it named "sunset.jpg", then you will be able to use the link to the file as mydomain.com/media/images/sunset.jpg.
