One of the challenges for customers has always been adding new images to slideshows. It is difficult for many customers to upload images that are the right size, type, orientation, etc.
It is also difficult for customers to know where their slideshow images reside in the media library. Our new V2 Slideshow Builder will solve all of these issues.

Features Include:

• No media library browsing needed - drag image directly into the slideshow builder.
• Pre-Configured sizes for home pages and department pages.
  • 1920 x 600 -- Short home page slideshow
  • 1920 x 700 -- Medium home page slideshow
  • 1920 x 800 -- Tall home page slideshow
  • 1920 x 1080 -- XL full-page slideshow
  • 900 x 400 -- Department page slideshow
  • Custom -- width/height inputs (clamped 200..1920 wide, 100..2160 tall; width above 1920 is refused with the message that slideshow images max out at 1920px).
• Easy image re-centering like Facebook allows for cover photos.
• New dedicated slideshow image folder created in the Media Library behind a new "Application Folders" tab. This will allow us to have hard-coded media folders that can't be deleted, moved, or renamed for our apps. It won't get in the way of how you use the media library now because it will be in a separate tab.
• Max width of 1920px enforced for the new slideshow builder - enormous images uploaded will be automatically resampled, cropped, and sized to 1920px maximum width. This will keep slideshows fast and keep them from slowing down the home page of your website.
• Images that are two small will be centered on a white background with a warning that they are too small. So you can use them if you want to, but they won't look as good and won't break the layout of the slideshow as before.
